Most everyone has a tendency to create "weak"
passwords. An example of a weak password
is to use your dog's name; your own name,
or some other common word.
Consequently, you should create a "strong" password
that consists of at least 6 characters
selected at random. This would be a combination
of letters, numbers and punctuation marks.
There is, however, one problem: it is
nearly impossible to memorize that type
of password.
One solution to the "how do I memorize that crazy
password" problem is to use software
specifically developed for storing (and
generating) passwords. For many years
I have used "pwsafe" to store numerous
passwords.
The pwsafe is available free from SourceForge. I would
recommend trying it for a while. You may find that
you can't live without it...especially if you have
to maintain multiple - and different - passwords.

here to download pwsafe (aka, passwordsafe).
If you are using Windows, be sure to select the "32-bit
Windows" version of the software. |
